Patrick William (P.W.) Duffy (1966) made his first public art piece at Thorntons Ferry Elementary School in Merrimack, New Hampshire. In 1976 at age 10 when in the fifth grade, he was selected to paint the New Hampshire state seal on the wall of his classroom, and got in the local newspaper. Seven years later, he would be voted Class Artist of his High School graduating Class of 1984.
In college, studying Fine Art at the University of New Hampshire, he operated his own silk screen press making custom t-shirts. Following UNH, he attended The Art Institute to study Visual Communications.
From 1994 - 2000, Duffy operated an art and design studio in Atlanta, completing more than 100 large scale paintings for commercial, corporate, and private properties. During that time, he was selected to hand-paint the costumes for the 1996 Summer Olympic Ceremonies in Atlanta, an internationally televised event. He also painted the largest outdoor mural in the State of Tennessee for The Hard Rock Cafe at 2 Broadway in Nashville.
In 2000, he began learning and using digital techniques. Though he continues to draw and paint in the traditional sense, he progressed into designing large format print graphics, websites, and flash animations until 2004.
In 2006, he relocated to Los Angeles, California, to do conceptual design, technical design, 3D modeling and digital sculpting a for a local entertainment company.
