Poser
Last summer over at Scenario Design, we were working on the conceptual development of The Mummy Ride for Universal Studios in Singapore, and for fun and practice, I made a 3D model of the head of a Ram and made it gold like the Ancient Egyptian statues.
Taking it a bit further I modeled up a body and rigged him in 3DS Max. Once rigged, my character can "receive" MOCAP data, so I can quickly animate him without hours of tedious keyframing. Sort of the instant gratification - if there is such a thing - for an animator.
After reviewing some free MOCAP files I found online, I chose this one and came up with the idea for Poser, The Ram God, Amun going for the Mr. Universe Title. A short animation by P.W. Duffy.
